Every person has the right to manifest that person’s religion or belief in worship, observance, practice, or teaching, either individually or in community with others, and either in public or in private.
This right is about openly practising religion or beliefs. It’s not enough to just have the right to believe, you must also be free to practice your faith or philosophy, alone or with others. This includes worship, observance, teaching, and other forms of expression.
Under this provision, everyone can practise, teach, and share their religion or beliefs, either alone or with others. This means people are free to worship, hold ceremonies, wear religious clothing, and teach their beliefs to others. For example, people can choose to wear a hijab, display a cross, or gather for prayer.
The State should only interfere if it has a very strong reason to do so.
